Fury explains why Joshua only has 'one chance' to beat him

Tyson Fury has been knocked down eight times during his career.
However, each time he's gotten back up and fought to the final bell.
For his next fight, Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) faces Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, headlining a Ring show on Netflix.
It's hard to imagine the scorecards being needed for the mega matchup between two former heavyweight champions who both promise stoppage wins.
"AJ's only got one chance to beat me, and that's to knock me out, which has proved to be hard over the years," Fury said in an interview with The Ring's Mike Coppinger.
"But I could beat him in any way I wanted. I can box, can move, slip and counterpunch him. I can knock him out on the front foot, so it's really whatever I want to do. I'll beat him at whatever, it doesn't matter.
"Even if we both stood toe-to-toe in a shootout, I'd beat him that way, too. Because I'll hit him first and don't believe he's got the heart or the balls I have. And even if I'm down, I'll get back up and f*** you up. You've seen it many times."
Fury has survived several dramatic knockdowns, including a memorable moment in his first fight against Deontay Wilder in December 2018. He was laid flat on his back but seemingly rose from the ashes to finish the round strong and secure a split draw.
Fury also suffered two fourth-round knockdowns in the third Wilder fight in October 2021 before blasting his arch-rival in the 11th. Also, during his first Oleksandr Usyk fight in May 2024, Fury suffered a hellacious beating in the ninth and wobbled around the ring before referee Mark Nelson ruled him down while he was held up by the ropes.
Joshua, who's been down 11 times in his career, is banking on testing Fury's chin — the younger former champion proclaiming he'd stop Fury inside 10 rounds.
Fury didn't give an exact round prediction, but also promises to plaster his career-long nemesis.
"I'm not going to let him go the distance. I'm going to knock him out for sure," Fury said.
"It's going to end with a devastating KO. Joshua will go down two or three times and not get back up again. Or maybe even [Joshua's trainer] Ben Davison crying his eyes out, jumping in the ring with a towel after he's been chinned, just to make him save face."
