Canelo Alvarez’s list of potential opponents just got a bit longer.
Lester Martinez presumably is on Alvarez's radar after the Guatemalan defeated Immanuwel Aleem by a one-sided decision to win the WBC interim super middleweight title Saturday in San Bernardino, California.
Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) has also been linked to Christian Mbilli, the full WBC titleholder who fought to a split-decision draw with Martinez (20-0-1, 16 KOs) in September. Many believe that the volume-punching Martinez did enough to get the nod over Mbilli in an entertaining fight.
And middleweight titleholder Carlos Adames announced after his victory over Austin Williams that he's moving up to 168.
Alvarez has announced that he will fight next on September 12 on the "Mexico Against the World" card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
So make your pick.
Who should Canelo Alvarez fight next?
