Pursuing the first career-defining win of their careers has led Xander Zayas and Jaron “Boots” Ennis to one another.
Zayas will defend his WBA and WBO 154-pound titles on June 27 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The unified championship clash, between two of The Ring's top-five junior middleweight contenders, will be streamed exclusively live on DAZN PPV and as part of the DAZN Ultimate Plan.
Zayas (23-0, 13 KOs) became a unified beltholder in his last appearance, beating Abass Baraou via 12-round split decision to claim the WBA belt on January 31. One fight prior, the 23-year-old won a then-vacant WBO title after outboxing Jorge Garcia Perez last July.
Ennis, five years his senior at 28, delivered an explosive 154-pound debut in his last outing with a first-round finish of Uisma Lima on October 11.
The Philadelphia native held Ring, IBF and WBA welterweight championships before opting to move up in weight two months after his career-best sixth-round stoppage win over Eimantas Stanionis in April 2025.
