Abdullah Mason is set to defend his WBO lightweight title against Joe Cordina this summer, sources tell The Ring.
Both sides are targeting June at a venue in Cleveland, where 22-year-old Mason is from.
Mason hasn't fought since his thrilling 12-round unanimous decision win over Sam Noakes last November on "The Ring IV: Night of the Champions."
Cordina, The Ring's No. 10 lightweight, beat Gabe Flores Jr. on points in an impressive performance a month later to become Mason's mandatory challenger.
Mason, The Ring's No. 5 135-pounder, is the youngest male world champion in boxing.
