The non-pay-per-view portion of the PBC on Prime Video event is starting to take shape.
The non-pay-per-view portion of the PBC on Prime Video event headlined by Manny Pacquiao and WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios is starting to take shape.
Alan David Picasso and Kyonosuke Kameda will square off in a 10-round contest on July 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, The Ring has learned.
Picasso (30-0-1, 17 KOs), the WBC's No. 1-ranked challenger at 122 pounds, was supposed to take on Naoya Inoue this year, but the offer instead was given to Ramon Cardenas. The 24-year-old from Mexico last fought in December and scored a third-round knockout win against Yehison Cuello. Picasso fought five times in total in 2024, and his best win came against former world title challenger Azat Hovhannisyan in August.
Kameda (15-4-2, 9 KOs), a 26-year-old from Japan, is coming off a seventh-round knockout loss to Picasso's Zanfer Promotions stablemate Luis Nery in February.
ESPN Knockout was the first to report that Picasso-Kyonosuke had been agreed upon.
