Amanda Serrano isn’t the type to talk trash. To a certain extent, she believes it isn’t classy. Also, she just isn’t a fan of it.

Those around her, however, aren’t following in her footsteps. Serrano has been called out repeatedly over the years. Alycia Baumgardner more than most, would love to get her hands on the former seven-division champion.

Ironically enough, both women will share the same card in July. Serrano will take on Katie Taylor and Baumgardner will face Jennifer Miranda. A win for both could see them meet up in the last quarter of the year. Serrano wouldn’t be wrong for entertaining it but even if a clash between them is likely, she refuses to discuss it.

“One fight at a time, let’s see how it goes,” said Serrano to a group of reporters recently.

At this point, Serrano can’t afford to look past Taylor. Whether she wants to admit it or not, she’s down 2-0 against the Irish star.

Since their first meeting in 2022, Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs) has banged her hands on the desk and screamed foul. Although it’s a pill she has to swallow, she’s in disbelief that Taylor eked out two close decisions against her. Another loss wouldn’t signal an end to her career but it would close the door on their rivalry.

There’s a ton on the line for the Puerto Rican native. In knowing that, all of her focus remains on the prize.

It’s a bit of a dicey situation. Even if Serrano grabs the victory, she may feel obligated to give Taylor a fourth fight. Ultimately, the scenarios are endless.

There will come a time when her future with Baumgardner is addressed but that won’t happen until after July 11th.

“I got Katie Taylor in front of me,” continued Serrano. “We’ll see what happens after that.”
