The Coliseo Promotions event, part of the "Noche Suprema" series, will be streamed live on YouTube.

The 34-year-old, entering his 16th year as a professional, will face his Colombian opponent in his adopted hometown of Hermosillo at Centro de Usos Multiples.

"I am very motivated to fight in Hermosillo, my hometown for the last 15 years," Berchelt (42-3, 37 KOs) told The Ring. "I want to show all my fans that there is [more] 'Alacran' Berchelt [to come] for many years."

Berchelt recovered from a shocking early defeat to score a 11th-round knockout win over Francisco Vargas in January 2017, after which the big-punching Mexican reeled off six championship defenses.

Among them, he outpointed former titlist Takashi Miura while earning stoppages of Miguel Ramos (TKO9), Vargas in a rematch (RTD6) and Jason Sosa (KO4).

However, he lost by 10th-round knockout by Oscar Valdez in February 2021 and was unexpectedly stopped inside the distance up at lightweight against Jeremia Nakathila (RTD6) the following January. Since then, he is riding a four-fight win streak with all of those coming back home in Mexico.

Cordoba (7-1, 4 KOs) has endured spells of inactivity while operating outside his natural weight class. Naturally bigger, he last scored a second-round knockout in May at 144 pounds.
