Cherneka Johnson is not wasting much time defending her bantamweight belts.

Johnson (18-2, 8 KOs) is set to defend her IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO titles against Amanda Galle (12-0-1, 1 KO) on November 14, Most Valuable Promotions announced on Monday. The matchup will take place on the preliminary portion of the card headlined by Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Johnson won the 118-pound crowns July 11 when she replaced then-pregnant Ring champion Dina Thorslund and stopped Shurretta Metcalf on the Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano undercard at Madison Square Garden in New York. Johnson, a 30-year-old Australian, made her United States debut in dominant fashion by notching a ninth-round TKO win.

“I’m pumped to be back in the ring again before the end of the year,” Johnson said. “It’s been a while since I’ve been this active, and I’m loving it. … Galle came up after my fight versus Metcalf, showed respect, and said she wants what I’ve got. Can’t blame her – I’d be chasing all the belts, too.”

Galle, a 36-year-old Canadian, signed a promotional deal with MVP in June. She is coming off an eight-round unanimous-decision win against Alondra Mendoza in September.

“I’ve been hanging out in the coattails of these big names, working in silence, and I’ve earned a spot at the table,” Galle said.

In separate news around the card, MVP announced that Ring and unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney (11-0, 0 KOs) suffered an injury during training camp. Her bout against WBA titleholder Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) will be postponed to a later date.

Additionally, welterweight Avious Griffin (17-1, 16 KOs) aims to get back into the win column after suffering the first loss of his career against Julian Rodriguez in June by taking on Justin Cardona (10-1, 5 KOs) in an eight-rounder.
