Anthony Joshua hasn't seen action since he was stopped by Daniel Dubois in September of last year.

And the clock is ticking on 2025 with no bout in sight for the former two-time heavyweight champion, meaning he could go a calendar without fighting for the first time since he turned pro in 2013.

Promoter Eddie Hearn evidently is doing his best to prevent that from happening.

“There could be a possibility,” Hearn told iFL TV during a recent sit-down. “I’m not saying that’s for sure, but at the end of the day, a lot of it depends on who he fights.”

Hearn refused to reveal potential opponents under consideration. However, he did say that there are still plenty of heavyweight contenders lining up to take on the popular figure.

“This is like one big last roll of the dice,” Hearn said. “It could be 18 months, could be two years, I don’t know. But he wants to get active, and that’s a really good thing.

"You may see him sooner rather than later. Lots of options on the table.”

Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) fought twice last year, knocking out overmatched Francis Ngannou in two rounds in March and then getting stopped in five himself against Dubois.

He started his career 22-0 but is only 6-4 in his last 10 fights, the losses coming against Andy Ruiz Jr., twice against Oleksandr Usyk and Dubois.
