As reported by The Ring, the pair have a deal in place for a junior middleweight bout this summer.

Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) opted to stay sharp by facing then-unbeaten Denis Nurja, pitching a 10-round shutout in Australia last weekend. After another points win among home comforts, the former WBO junior middleweight champion made it clear that he's ready to throw down with the former unified welterweight beltholder.

"I feel like I'm up for it," Tszyu said when asked about the potential matchup post-fight.

"I think me and Errol Spence is gonna be one helluva fight, it's a banger. You know how I am, I don't take a backward step so if he wants to meet me at the front, bring it on. Let's go fishing."

Spence, who refers to himself as 'The Big Fish', appears ready and waiting to shut the Aussie up after an extended hiatus.

"You think s—t sweet," Spence wrote on his X account. "I'm a do you so bad!"

It's been a while since fans have seen the Texan in action, having been given a career-altering beating en route to a ninth-round stoppage defeat by Terence Crawford in July 2023.

Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) was knocked down three times before referee Harvey Dock stepped in and waved things off, a painful loss on his career-biggest night to lose their 147-pound undisputed title fight.

For the better part of the last three years, he's been out of sight and out of mind. Now 36, he's spent time recuperating with family without the boxing buzz to overwhelm him.

No longer aligned with longtime trainer Derrick James, he has worked with Ronnie Shields, Roy Jones and Stephen 'Breadman' Edwards in an attempt to find a new permanent voice in his corner.

Tszyu, who suffered similarly career-altering defeats by Bakhram Murtazaliev and twice against Sebastian Fundora, has now won two straight heading into perhaps his final chance at world-level contention again.
