Francis Warren: Sam Noakes at his best 'beats Abdullah Mason every day'

Manager Francis Warren believes a strong performance by client Sam Noakes will result in victory over Abdullah Mason in November.
LONDON, England - The manager of Sam Noakes has predicted that the Englishman will leave Riyadh feeling guilty about how badly he will hurt Abdullah Mason in their WBO world lightweight title clash.
Noakes (17-0, 15 KOs) and Mason (19-0, 17 KOs) are scheduled to meet in a battle of undefeated 135-pounders for the vacant WBO title Nov. 22 at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of The Ring’s stacked "Night of Champions" event.
Mason, a 21-year-old from Cleveland, is among the best prospects in the world. He's getting his chance to claim his first world title in his first-ever 12-round fight against Noakes, who has been made a significant underdog with the oddsmakers.
But Noakes' manager, Francis Warren, believes his chances have been severely underrated and says his client is clearly more seasoned than Mason despite having two fewer professional fights.
“Sam has got experience,” Warren told The Ring. “He’s British, Commonwealth, European champion and although they might not be elite-level operators, Sam has banked 12 rounds experience against the likes of Yvan Mendy and Ryan Walsh.
“They are the fights where you do your learning, whereas Abdullah has only had a couple of title fights. ... He’s there to be roughed up, and he’s there to be taken out. I’m absolutely convinced of it.
“In fact, Sam Noakes, being the fella he is, will probably end up feeling quite bad about what he’s going to end up doing to Abdullah Mason because he’s only a 21-year-old kid. Sam is absolutely on a seek-and-destroy mission.
“I really think this is the biggest opportunity that Sam can hope for at the moment.”
Noakes is currently The Ring’s No. 8-ranked lightweight while Mason is at No. 9 in a division stacked with stars. Warren says that Noakes, a former roofer from Maidstone, Kent, will be impossible to ignore should he derail Mason’s hype train in style.
“If Sam goes there and knocks him out, it’s just absolutely huge for his profile,” Warren said. “It sets up fights against the likes of Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis, massive, massive nights for him.
“But first and foremost, he's got to go out there and do the business. I'll tell you now, 100 percent, that a [strong] performance from Sam Noakes beats Abdullah Mason every day.
“Once he's on you, you're not going to be able to get him off. Sam can be a nasty little [expletive] and there'll be zero respect for Abdullah Mason on the night.
"[Noakes] won't be worrying about what anyone else is saying about him. He'll just be worried about the homework that he's done for him, with his coaches in the gym.
“And he'll be relying upon the work that he will have done over the past 10 weeks, leading up to the fight. And I guarantee he will leave no stone unturned, and he will be coming home with that WBO belt.”
