It proved another straightforward night at the office for Ring and undisputed flyweight champion Gabriela Fundora, who eased to her third straight stoppage victory in another world title defence against Alexas Kubicki as the big question remains: Who can match her?

The 23-year-old, hailed by older brother and WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian as the world's best pound-for-pound female fighter — not Claressa Shields — continues to prove a nightmare matchup for anyone brave enough to test their skills against her wit.

On this occasion, the Canadian opposite her clearly had a plan but lacked the defensive nous nor punching power to carry it out effectively. Kubicki immediately looked to close the distance and rough up Fundora in close ange, though the undisputed champion was wise to this tactic and before long was pinging her backwards with her long levers.

The same sequence repeated itself midway through Round 2, Fundora (17-0, 9 KOs) digging downstairs as they jostled for position, Kubicki getting tagged by a big overhand right among other shots as her strategy wasn't being rewarded up close.

Instead, the considerably bigger woman was slowly taking control and enjoying herself through three rounds after making Kubicki (13-2, 2 KOs) retreat due to some bruising body work as she smiled intently, winning their exchanges.

Kubicki's corner grew increasingly concerned midway through the fourth with her limited head movement and output that didn't deter the champion's ominous forward pressure.

The referee was uncomfortable with the heavy shots bouncing off the 22-year-old's head and told her as much, warning her sternly before the start of the seventh. A minute later, he stepped in after seeing Fundora begin to rattle off another combination — he'd seen enough.
