Gervonta Davis' disinterest and disdain for boxing continue to grow.

The 30-year-old knockout artist, who is undefeated as a WBA lightweight titleholder and in the prime of his career, is gearing up for an exhibition against Jake Paul on Nov. 14 in Miami.

The matchup is the kind of move star fighters make to milk one last big sum of money at the tail end of their careers before calling it quits. For Davis, he reiterated on Friday that he's retiring from boxing once the event concludes.

"Boxing definitely did a turn," Davis wrote on X. "It went from this side to that side, and this shit has no loyalty. So why would I care? I move accordingly. Boxing is dead."

When someone responded, "Please retire then," Davis said, "I am in, eight weeks."

Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) wrapped up a press tour in New York and Miami this week to promote the exhibition with Paul, during which he said “I’m not the face of boxing.

”He didn’t publicly reveal that he’s hanging up the gloves, as he did before his last fight against Lamont Roach Jr. in March. He said he would retire by the end of the year ahead of that fight, but the result -- a controversial majority draw -- made him change his tune at the time.

A rematch planned for the summer had multiple false starts, and Davis eventually punted at the thought of the sequel and instead zeroed in on Paul.
