Golden Boy Promotions has made a pair of pivotal additions to its roster of prospects by signing standout amateur twins Sebastian and Nikolai Terteryan.

The Terteryans are 24-year-old Armenians based in Denmark who have since moved to Las Vegas to kickstart their careers, and their pro debuts are set to take place July 12 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

"Golden Boy is waiting for you in America with open arms," said Oscar De La Hoya. "Congratulations on all of your success."

The southpaw Nikolai represented Denmark in the 2024 Olympics as a junior middleweight (71 kilograms), while Sebastian reached the qualifying stages of the Summer Games. They plan to start their careers as middleweights before settling in at 154 pounds.

"The vision that Oscar De La Hoya has for our future aligns perfectly with our ambitions," the Terteryans said in a shared statement. "We’ve been among the amateur elite — European champions, Olympians — and now, with our head coach, Jamie Robinson, it’s time."

Top Rank also was in negotiations to sign the twins, and now the Terteryans will train out of the Top Rank gym in Las Vegas with Robinson, who’s assisted coach Brian McIntyre’s fighters throughout the years.

The Terteryans also signed a managerial deal with fellow Armenian Rick Mirigian. The respected boxing broker has handled the entire career of former unified junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez and also manages Vergil Ortiz and Arnold Barboza, among others.

"Without question this is one of the most special signings I have done in my 12 years in boxing," said Mirigian. "Armenian fighters are rare — talented Olympians and decorated amateurs are unicorns in the sport, and Nikolai and Sebastian will be the first Armenians that I will manage and promote in my career."

The Terteryans are second-generation fighters. Their father Tigran, who passed away in 2020 at 50, represented the Armenian national team as a heavyweight. Their older brother, Marsel Terteryan, is an undefeated pro MMA fighter.

Golden Boy, based in Los Angeles, hosts several shows a year in Southern California, home to the largest Armenian community in the United States outside of the country, and the Terteryans figure to be featured frequently in the area as they begin their burgeoning careers.
