Few things epitomize that notion like Eddie Hearn and Chris Eubank Jr. teaming up for a trilogy fight against Conor Benn.

During the broadcast of Pat Brown’s sixth-round knockout of John Hedges in Manchester on Saturday, Hearn said he had lunch with Eubank recently. The Matchroom Boxing chairman said it’s a possibility they could work together in the future, and if he was handling Eubank's business, he’d make sure of a level playing field.

Hearn was Benn's promoter for the first two fights and managed to obtain advantages that favored his fighter.

Both clashes took place at middleweight and had a 10-pound rehydration clause for the morning of the fight. Eubank (35-4, 25 KOs) had fought as high as 168 pounds previously, while Benn (25-2, 14 KOs) moved up in weight for the grudge matches.

Eubank won a thrilling unanimous decision in the first fight in April 2025. Their back-and-forth contest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London won The Ring’s 2025 'Fight of the Year.' Benn avenged the defeat six months later, dropping a depleted Eubank twice in the 12th round in a decisive unanimous decision victory at the same venue.

"If I'm on Team Eubank, I'll make sure everything's fair this time," Hearn said. "I think Chris understands and appreciates that my job last time was to get the edge. I did that beautifully, because I spun the other team around my little finger and I enabled Conor Benn to get the advantage going into the fight. That’s the game. This time around, it won't work like that.”

Hearn also prefaced that no deal with Eubank is imminent.

Eubank, 37, hasn’t fought since the rematch. Benn, 29, shocked the boxing world in February when he left Hearn, who had promoted him for his entire career, to sign with Zuffa Boxing. He has fought twice since then, winning a unanimous decision against Regis Prograis in a 10-round 150-pound catchweight bout on April 11 before losing by second-round stoppage to WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia on September 12 in Las Vegas.

"Me on Team Eubank against Dana White and Conor Benn makes the fight twice as big," Hearn said. “The trilogy will be interesting.”

Before losing to Garcia (26-2-1, 21 KOs, 1 NC), Benn said he could potentially move all the way up to 168 pounds after fighting in the welterweight division for the first time since April 2022. Hearn said super middleweight is where a third fight would take place.

“It'll be a fair fight, and it'll be up at 168,” Hearn said. “This is just me thinking in my head. There’s nothing imminent with Chris Eubank Jr. Certainly the announcement with Matchroom would break the boxing internet and probably break the sporting internet as well. Nothing imminent; stranger things have happened – I think in my head and Chris Eubank Jr.'s head, we understand the size of it. Never say never.”
