Highly touted as a potential star, O'Leary (19-0, 11 KOs) seems to have unlocked his potential after reconnecting with Dublin roots.

The 26-year-old was originally set to face the dangerously under-rated Chamberlain at his home city's 3Arena back in March.

That was before a severe chest infection forced the Portsmouth man to withdraw, with O'Leary bullying late substitute Maxi Hughes en route to a fifth-round stoppage.

Having spent his career training and fighting in the UK, O'Leary relished a chance to fight at home and the impressive display has captured the imagination of Dublin fight fans.

This weekend, he and Chamberlain (17-1-1, 12 KOs) will finally meet in the same venue they were slated for. A large crowd is expected to return in support of The Ring’s No. 9 junior welterweight, who promises them an even better showing.

“Mark said he's been studying me [from watching old fights]. He's been studying the wrong person if you ask me,” he said at Thursday’s final press conference.

“The way we are being prepared in the gym is special and people have seen 30% of me. I look to go out there and put on another fantastic performance, but want to bring the boxing IQ from what I might have been doing in camp because this camp has been really, very intense.

“I think the only chance Mark had of beating me was the last fight and he still wouldn't have. He’s especially not beating me this time.”

Travelling into the lion’s den holds no fears for the laid-back Chamberlain. The 27-year-old isn’t the type to shout about his intentions but when pushed, did state he plans to end their encounter inside the distance.

The ultra confident O’Leary dismissed Chamberlain’s claims out of hand. For him, this is just another step towards the top at junior welterweight.

“No chance. He’d want to have a .45 magnum [gun] in his pocket or in his glove to try and walk away with that belt in front of all you [fans]. No chance is that happening. I'm coming for it all, do a proper job on him and push on.”
