Fighters, no matter the weight class, love calling Canelo Alvarez out.

For a few years now, Jake Paul has done the same.

Yet whenever he mentioned him, Alvarez rolled his eyes extraneously. From his point of view, fighting him never made sense but that hasn't stopped the 28-year-old keeping his name in his mouth.

Even now, after the Mexican's upset decision defeat by Terence Crawford on Sept. 13, Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) still wants a piece of him.

“Yeah, 100%,” Paul said to several reporters when asked if he still wants to fight the pound-for-pound star. “That’s one of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing.”

At the moment, boxing is the furthest thing from Alvarez's mind. He’s currently enjoying a long rest and soaking up the sun. His next move hasn’t been discussed just yet, but the 35-year-old has already confirmed there are no plans to retire.

As for Paul, keeping Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) at the forefront of his mind might be a bad idea. On November 14, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, the former YouTuber-turned-boxer will take on Gervonta Davis in an exhibition.

It was announced during Monday's press conference that their matchup will have a 195-pound catchweight limit, 60 pounds higher than Davis' normal weight class.

Despite having all of the physical advantages, Paul isn't sleeping on Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs). He does, however, feel like he's in the best form of his life. Fresh off a points win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28, the five-year pro hopes he'll parlay that victory into another big night against Davis.

Provided everything goes according to plan and he takes care of business, the red target he's placed on Alvarez's back will only get larger after they were close to agreeing terms for a fight earlier this year.

“After I beat this guy, Canelo’s on the list for sure,” Paul said.
