Rising heavyweight prospect Jose Kadima will headline for the first time on July 11.
Kadima (8-0, 6 KOs) will face Herbert Matovu (9-1, 8 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round contest in the Golden Gloves event dubbed Magic At The Palace, taking place at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Matovu's only career defeat came on the world stage at cruiserweight, suffering a second-round stoppage defeat by former light heavyweight challenger Umar Salamov in February 2025.
"At this early stage of his career I am confident that he will emerge as the most exciting heavyweight to ever come out of Africa," Golden Gloves CEO Rodney Berman told The Ring.
A regional WBC title awaits the victor, which accelerates their pathway towards the world's top-15 rankings and more importantly, exposure on the international scene. That development came earlier this month, with Berman excited about the possibilities.
"We've long believed Kadima is special, so there's even greater motivation for him to keep winning. Matovu, like him, is a puncher, so I anticipate a thrilling fight next month."
In the chief support bout also at heavyweight, Juan Alberts (8-0-1, 5 KOs) will take on Jack Mulawayi (16-4-1, 12 KOs) over 10 rounds.
Meanwhile, featherweight hopeful Sanele Sogcwayi (5-0, 2 KOs) will face Pritchard Dube (1-3-1, 1 KO) in a six-rounder.
Simamkele Tutsheni (8-1, 3 KOs) and Monica Mkandla (9-0, 1 KO) collide at junior featherweight over the same distance, while Ethan Peters (2-0, 2 KOs) and debutant Andre Bruwer meet over four rounds.
Elsewhere at light heavyweight, Andre Malumba (2-0) faces Pieter Breytenbach (1-1, 1 KO) - the latter lost a four-rounder against Alberts on his debut two years ago.
