Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is very confident about his chances in grabbing more gold in the next few weeks.

Parker will challenge IBF world champion Daniel Dubois as part of a big Riyadh Season card on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The New Zealand boxer has earned another bite at the apple with big wins over feared heavyweights like Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei.

A win over Dubois would get Parker in the running to face unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk,

He believes if the fight gets too difficult, then Dubois will mentally crumble.

"It depends. If it gets too hard, he will look for a way out," Parker told Sky Sports. "But if it's going his way, he'll keep going. It's my job to go out there and offset what he's going to bring and follow my game plan."

Dubois is coming off one of the biggest shockers of 2024 - a five round destruction of heavily favored Anthony Joshua.

The twice-beaten boxer is looking to avenge his knockout loss at the hands of Usyk - but Parker cautions that he better not look too far ahead.

"Listen, it can be a mistake. In boxing they always try and set up big fights in the future. If he is trying to set that up, he has to get past me first," Parker said.

"For now I just want to focus on Daniel Dubois. I don't want to look too far ahead. I want to prepare for him and take him seriously, Once that fight's done and I win, I can look at other fights.

"Even if times get hard I've always had self-belief. It's because of the hard work that I've done and the standards my parents instilled in me at a young age. I've always believed that no matter what, no matter what anyone says, no matter what anyone does, I believe wholeheartedly that I back myself and believe in myself always."
