The two leading British heavyweights of the generation will put more than a decade of rivalry behind them when they clash on Friday December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, live on Netflix.

The promotion for the Battle of Britain superfight will formally kick off in west London on Wednesday evening with the pair set to share the top table from 6 p.m. BST/1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PST, Netflix confirmed Tuesday after both men arrived back in the UK.

The set-piece presser, which will be held at British Airways ARC, with a limited number of free tickets available to the general public, will signal the start of more than two months of build-up to what is widely considered the biggest fight in the history of British boxing.

The long-awaited showdown was officially announced last week by Turki Alalshikh after months of contractual back-and-forth. But, as per The Ring’s Mike Coppinger, some late issues had put the entire promotion in danger.

Despite the late concerns about the fight going ahead, Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) insisted that he was confident all the issues would be smoothed out when he spoke to his own Youtube channel.

"[Hearn and Joshua have] been trying to get out of this since they signed it," he said. "I think they signed for embarrassment's sake … I do think the fight will happen, because from what I'm hearing, they've been paid already. So the fight has to happen, unless they want to give the dough back.

"If I had stuck to my contract, this fight wouldn't have happened, would it? I've been moving the goalpost all the time. There's nothing that I haven't agreed to – nothing. I'll even tie concrete blocks to my boots to make this fight happen. There's nothing that I wouldn't do to make this fight happen."

Now, 16 years after they sparred at Finchley ABC in north London, 38-year-old Fury and 36-year-old Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) will finally be brought face to face.
