Lauren Price has today signed a multi-year contract extension with BOXXER, as the Welsh welterweight champion targets achieving undisputed status before 2025 ends.
She topped a historic night of boxing at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this month and shone in every aspect of her unanimous decision win over now-former unified champion Natasha Jonas, adding WBC and IBF gold to her collection.
The Ring Magazine titleholder, 30, is still three months shy of her three-year professional debut anniversary, but has already headlined two BOXXER shows on Sky Sports and isn't anywhere near satisfied yet.
The Olympic middleweight gold medallist (9-0, 2 KOs) has cited Katie Taylor as an example she wishes to emulate in becoming Olympic and undisputed world champion. She and promoter Ben Shalom hinted in the post-fight press conference, they'll look to be ringside in Las Vegas for Mikaela Mayer's March 29 rematch with Sandy Ryan.
WBO titlist Mayer (20-2, 5 KOs) has the division's only remaining belt and has grown into the weight class, having previously campaigned at super-featherweight between 2017-2022 and been unified champion for a commendable stretch.
Price described it as an 'incredible' feeling to box at Royal Albert Hall, which had only hosted four boxing cards since 1999 - including double Olympic champion Nicola Adams' historic world flyweight title fight in September 2019.
She said: "I'm very happy to have signed a contract extension with BOXXER and Ben Shalom. To become unified world champion, to headline such a historic night was a special feeling, the second all-female card I've fought on, shows BOXXER and Sky Sports' commitment to growing the sport and staging the biggest fights possible.
When I turned pro after winning Olympic gold, I knew I wanted to do something special in the sport. To be a unified champion in just my ninth fight is a great achievement, but I want all the belts. I believe I'm the best in the division and want the Mayer-Ryan winner next."
Shalom echoed that sentiment, saying: "Lauren's a special talent and we're delighted she has extended her contract with BOXXER. Her performance against Natasha was exceptional, I believe she's the division's best and has the potential to become the best pound-for-pound. She wants the Mayer-Ryan winner for all the belts, we want to make it next."
