Edgar Berlanga is trading the gloves for a microphone and taking a swing at music by releasing a song titled "Baby Mama."
The track, which the Puerto Rican knockout artist performs in Spanish, debuted on Friday across all major music streaming platforms.
Berlanga's good friend Fat Joe appeared to be a big fan, as he commented on Berlanga’s post with several fire emojis.
It's shaping up to be a significant week for Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs), as the super middleweight contender also signed a deal with Zuffa Boxing. The 28-year-old hasn't fought since getting knocked out by Hamzah Sheeraz in July.
As for music, Berlanga becomes the latest boxer who has a penchant for hitting the high notes.
Over the years, the likes of Jack Johnson, Joe Frazier, Ernie Terrell, Naseem Hamed, Roy Jones Jr., Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, and Ryan Garcia have all stepped into the studio and taken the stage to show off their vocal chords.
