O'Shaquie Foster ended another lengthy layoff in the best way possible, outboxing and outpointing an overweight fellow champion in Stephen Fulton over 12 rounds to win the WBC's vacant interim lightweight title, while keeping his junior lightweight crown.
He is now Shakur Stevenson's mandatory challenger at 135-pounds and will have a decision to make regarding his future, having campaigned in the weight class since 2018.
After a feel out round in the first, Foster overwhelmed Fulton with volume and cruised against the featherweight champ - capped by a fight-high 30 punches connected in the 10th frame.
Fulton could only muster a fight-high of eight shots landed in two rounds, the third and 10th.
The judges scored it 117-111, 118-110 and 119-109 for Foster, who landed 41% of his power punches and 70 more in total (101-31, 191-56 in total).
