The heavyweight contender, who has always denied knowingly taking the substance, has been cleared to fight after serving a three-month suspension for the infringement.

Parker, 34, returned an adverse analytical finding for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite for cocaine, in his routine post-fight drugs test conducted by UKAD immediately after his defeat to Fabio Wardley last year.

He has not boxed since but, in a statement released on Wednesday, Parker declared he will be back in the ring soon after his provisional suspension was lifted by UKAD.

Now, 24 hours on, UKAD have released a statement containing details of the case, including the key evidence which ensured Parker's ban was just three months long.

The statement read: "On 6 March 2026, Mr Parker provided UKAD with evidence claiming that the adverse analytical finding was the result of his exposure to cocaine used by the nutritionist he had employed in preparation for the bout on 25 October 2025.

"The nutritionist stated that he was a regular user of cocaine and had used cocaine daily in the week leading up to the bout."

Parker (36-4, 24 KOs), the former WBO heavyweight champion, had been steadily building towards another world title shot thanks to impressive wins over the likes of Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang and Martin Bakole.

However he was stopped in the 11th round of his clash with underdog Wardley at London’s O2 Arena for the WBO’s interim title. Then, following Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to vacate the belt a few weeks later, Wardley was elevated to full champion, however he lost the title in his first defense when he was stopped by Daniel Dubois in Manchester on May 9.
