Oleksandr Usyk’s illustrious career is near its conclusion.
The two-time undisputed heavyweight champion and unified Ring, IBF, WBA and WBC champion outlined his final three fights on Inside The Ring on March 9. Usyk’s final run begins with former Glory Kickboxing heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven at Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on May 23 on DAZN for his WBC title.
The Ring’s No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter then hopes to face the winner of WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley versus Daniel Dubois on May 9 before ending his career with a third bout against Tyson Fury. Fury returns to the ring after an over-15-month layoff to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on DAZN.
The clear omission from the list is Agit Kabayel. Kabayel (27-0, 19 KOs) is The Ring’s No. 2 heavyweight and holds the interim WBC title. One can make a compelling argument that Kabayel’s pressure and body work make him the toughest fight available.
Poll: Who should Usyk face in his last fight?
