A domestic shootout is on the horizon.
WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley will make the first defense of his title against Daniel Dubois at Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester, broadcast exclusively live on DAZN PPV and as part of the DAZN Ultimate plan.
Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KOs) enters their clash after a career-best win, scoring an 11th-round stoppage of former WBO beltholder Joseph Parker on October 25 to become the interim titleholder. He was elevated to full champion status after Oleksandr Usyk relinquished his title the following month.
Wardley is The Ring's No. 1-ranked heavyweight contender, with former sparring partner Usyk reigning supreme as Ring and unified champion.
Former IBF titlist and No. 4-rated heavyweight Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) fell short in attempting to become undisputed champion last time out, being stopped in the fifth round of his Usyk rematch on July 19. This matchup pits two of The Ring's top five ranked heavyweights against one another, so who do you think wins?
