Fundora retained his WBC title with the boxing equivalent of a buzzer-beater, stopping Ermal Hadribeaj in the final second of the 12th round Saturday night at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Now, Fundora (25-1-1, 17 KOs), The Ring’s No. 3-ranked junior middleweight, has his sights set on the winner of the unification bout between WBA and WBO titleholder Jaron “Boots” Ennis and IBF champion Josh Kelly. Ennis (36-0, 32 KOs), The Ring’s No. 1-ranked junior middleweight and No. 9-ranked fighter pound-for-pound, and Kelly (19-1-1, 9 KOs), The Ring’s No. 6-rated fighter at 154 pounds, are expected to fight in January.

While one would be remiss to count out Kelly, the much more appealing bout to crown an undisputed 154-pound champion would be between Ennis and Fundora. With the offensive firepower both men possess, it's could be a Fight of the Year candidate.
