Five months after they were first scheduled to fight, Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman will finally clash.
They’ll meet for Fundora’s WBC 154-pound title in the main event of a PBC PPV on Prime at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. Oct. 25 was the original date, before a Fundora hand injury forced a postponement.
Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs), who stands at a towering 6-5 1/2, will be making the third defense of his title. The 28-year-old is coming off a dominant seventh-round stoppage of Tim Tszyu in their July 19 rematch, having beaten the former WBO beltholder via split decision in one of the bloodiest fights you'll ever see in March 2024.
Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) is a former unified welterweight champion. He's only boxed twice over the last six years, which have been marred by injuries and long stretches of inactivity. The 37-year-old last fought on March 12 last year, scoring a third-round stoppage of Brock Jarvis in Australia.
