Devin Haney will face a legal battle before he begins to train for his November bout against WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr.

TMZ reported Monday night that Leena Sayed, the mother of Haney's 5-month-old daughter, Khrome, filed for a restraining order last week in Nevada against the former undisputed lightweight champion. A judge granted a temporary order of protection Monday, according to TMZ, and the two parties are due in court July 22.

The judge also ruled that Haney cannot visit his daughter until they come to court on that date.

Sayed alleged Haney pushed her to the ground while she was pregnant with their daughter and abused her on several other occasions over the past 16 months, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Haney could not be reached for comment Monday night by The Ring. The 26-year-old Oakland native has agreed recently to challenge Norman (28-0, 22 KOs, 1 NC) in what is expected to be the main event of a Riyadh Season show sometime in November in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Haney (32-0, 15 KOs, 1 NC), who resides in Henderson, Nevada, most recently unanimously out-pointed Jose Ramirez in a 12-round 143-pound catchweight match May 2 on a card The Ring presented from Times Square in New York.
