The WBC welterweight champion retained his crown against Conor Benn via second-round TKO Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Present ringside was former undisputed 147-pound champion Crawford, who earlier in the week backed Benn to beat Garcia, much to the chagrin of the Californian.

Asked about his beef with Crawford on Monday, Garcia took things a step further and offered the future Hall-of-Famer the chance to return to the ring for a fight.

“Will [Crawford] come out of retirement? I don’t know but he knows he has to,” Garcia told The Ariel Helwani show. “Nobody knows who he is. He has to come back to boxing. He knows that. He knows that he didn’t do everything that he needed to do in the sport. He knows it’s the truth. He’s not really retired in his heart. He retired on paper but not in his heart. Come get this smoke."

Garcia also wants to gain revenge for Canelo Alvarez, who lost to Crawford in the Nebraskan's final fight a year ago.

On that night, Crawford moved up two divisions to dethrone Alvarez by unanimous decision, becoming an undisputed champion at 168 pounds, the third weight class in which he's done so.

Crawford opted to retire three months later.

Now, Garcia (26-2, 21 KOs) says he wants payback for his former promotional and training stablemate.

“I want to avenge Canelo’s loss,” Garcia added. “I just wanna beat his ass. I want that. He knows that I want that. I’m willing to test him to see where he’s at.”
