Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano already holds the women's record for winning titles in seven different divisions.
Serrano aims to add to her list of accolades Friday by breaking the women's knockout record (32) set by Christy Martin 21 years ago.
Should Serrano, The Ring, WBO and WBA featherweight champion, beat Lucrecia Manzur (14-4, 7 KOs) it will also mark the 50th victory of her Hall of Fame-bound career.
The action will unfold away from traditional broadcast television and on social media via TikTok Live, over 12 two-minute rounds, to headline a Most Valuable Promotions event at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California.
"I am so excited to be a part of this," Serrano said during a press conference on Thursday. "I am almost out of [the sport], so to have more firsts as part of the many that I already have, this is truly one of the best moments of my life and career. It's pretty fun and cool.
"My journey hasn't been an easy one. It's been a long, hard 17 years. You guys just figured me out thanks to MVP a few years ago, but I struggled for so many years. Joining MVP has brought me the best moments of my career. It's been fun and the best feeling introducing new fans to women's boxing.
"I believe I am one of the most accomplished women in boxing history. I sleep well at night knowing what I have accomplished.'
Serrano (49-4-1, 32 KOs) has certainly evolved into a star and enjoyed a breakout by boxing under Jake Paul's promotional banner. The 37-year-old from Puerto Rico has fought as the co-main event of several Paul fights and even starred on shows across Netflix, ESPN, DAZN and New York's Madison Square Garden.
Serrano's scintillating trilogy against Katie Taylor also captivated audiences around the world.
Although Manzur, a 27-year-old Argentinian, doesn't present a challenge similar to the level of Taylor, Serrano is still promising an entertaining slugfest.
"I hate boring fights, so I would never be in a boring fight," Serrano said.
"Fans can expect a war. We're going to come to fight and show that we deserve to be here. I expect Manzur to come non-stop and throw punches. I invite that. I love that. I am ready to give it all that I got. I don't expect her to say that she's going to be my 33rd victim. I know she will come to fight. So it will be much sweeter when I do get the knockout victory.
"The fight is on TikTok Live, and I am ready to deliver a viral moment. I am going to make sure I put on a great performance."
