Consider Errol Spence impressed by the menu of skills that make up Tim Tszyu.
Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will find out firsthand if he can handle the heat Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) is cooking with when he enters the kitchen that is Afterpay Arena in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday afternoon (Saturday night in the United States). The fight will headline a DAZN/Prime Video pay-per-view event.
"I know it's going to be a tough, grueling fight. I know Tim is going to push me past my limits," Spence said during his media workout on Thursday.
"I've seen enough film on him to know that he's going to come with everything. He looks like a strong fighter, a guy who is going to keep pressing forward, give everything he has and be relentless with punches in bunches.
"It's a war. Everything is going to be on the line ... the hunger is still there. I am still willing to show that Errol Spence is still here."
Tszyu will find out in short order if the former unified welterweight champion Spence presents any semblance of danger he once possessed as a pound-for-pound top player.
Spence's best days went up in flames in July 2023 when butchered by Terence Crawford in a one-sided stoppage loss. The 36-year-old was dropped three times during their undisputed welterweight title fight and hasn't fought since.
"I'm feeling great. I needed the time off just to let everything heal," Spence said.
"I wouldn't have come back if I wasn't feeling great. I'm here to do a job. I am going to do what I have to do. Everybody is going to get their money's worth. They're going to see a great fight. It's going to be very entertaining, and everybody is going to be on the edge of their seat."
Tszyu has experienced seesaw results since around the time Spence was crushed by Crawford, fighting to a 6-3 record while also seizing a 154-pound title.
The Spence-Tszyu fight will take place at 160 pounds, two pounds more than what was originally agreed after Spence requested changing to the official middleweight limit last week.
"It's a good feeling to be back on this stage. This is our land, and we are going to defend it," Tszyu said during his workout. "I'm the underdog, and have been training that way. I'm here to do the job, do myself and all of Australia proud. It's going to be electric. We're here to fight, and may the best man win."
