The two will meet in Tagbilaran City, Bohol in the Philippines on September 12. The fight also doubles as an IBF world title eliminator for the right to become Thanongsak Simsri's next mandatory challenger.

Suganob (18-1, 7 KOs) is the sanctioning body's No. 3 contender, while Nontshinga (14-2, 11 KOs) sits a place lower at No. 4.

PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions chief Floriezyl Podot told The Ring of his delight at securing the fight.

"I am delighted to have this bout again. It will be an exciting one as both boxers are legitimate contenders for a world title fight at 108 pounds, though Team Suganob are very optimistic about winning this fight."

Nontshinga, then the IBF champion, successfully defended his title with a gritty 12-round decision win over Suganob in their first meeting. He had home advantage in July 2023, though this time faces an away assignment for the fourth time in his last five outings.

Suganob, The Ring's No. 6 junior flyweight, scored victories over compatriots Jake Amparo (UD8), Jerome Baloro (UD10) and Mark Vicelles (TD8) to earn the aforementioned IBF shot before falling short.

The 28-year-old has returned strongly with five consecutive wins and enters this encounter after an impressive eighth-round stoppage of the usually durable Siphamandla Baleni on February 28.

Nontshinga, one place lower in The Ring's ratings, held on after being knocked down late against Cristian Araneta (UD12) in an IBF eliminator. He edged past Hector Flores, claiming the vacant IBF title in Mexico and Suganob was his first defense.

The 27-year-old surprisingly lost his title via second-round knockout to Adrian Curiel, though scored a come-from-behind stoppage to regain it in an immediate rematch three months later.

Masamichi Yabuki stopped him in nine rounds to claim the crown in October 2024, and he has fought just once since then, a second-round stoppage of journeyman Sunday Kiwale on November 15.
