Junior middleweight contender Tim Tszyu is currently preparing himself for a return to the ring.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Tszyu has 'agreed terms' to fight once-beaten contender Joey Spencer on a date in April.

The location has yet to be confirmed, but Australia and Las Vegas have both been mentioned to host the event.

Tszyu is looking to bounce back after suffering defeats at the hands of Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev.

In his last bout, five months ago, Tszyu was battered and knocked out by Murtazaliev - who dropped the Aussie boxer four times before the towel was thrown in by his corner.

Spencer, 24-years-old, has 19 wins on his record and tasted his only defeat when he was pounded by Jesus Ramos Jr. in 2023.

Since suffering that loss, Spencer has put together a three fight winning streak

No Limit's George Rose, who promotes Tszyu, expects the news about his boxer's next fight to come down shortly.

"I still think he is the best in his division,' Rose said to The Daily Telegraph. "He had an off night against Murtazaliev but he will make statements again and step his way back to where he belongs, which is at the top of the tree with belts around his waist.

"The key for Tim is getting back in the winner's circle. That’s the first step. He got married recently which was a great way to end what was a tough year in the ring. He is rolling into 2025 hungry and that is exciting for Australian boxing. We are getting him back in the ring, back on show, and reminding people how good he is."
