Tobias Reyes and Miel Fajardo will meet in an IBF flyweight title final eliminator on April 11.
The fight will headline an O.R Promotions event in Reyes home region of Santa Fe, Argentina.
Reyes (18-1-1, 16 KOs) earned this opportunity by taking Pedro Alarcon's unbeaten record by wide 10-round unanimous decision on October 18.
Meanwhile, Fajardo (13-3-2, 11 KOs) will travel from the Philippines, something he is used to doing, having fought outside his homeland seven times.
On paper, this should be a fun fight between two power-punching fighters vying for a shot at IBF titlist Masamichi Yabuki. Reyes sports an 88 percent knockout ratio, while Fajardo's is only slightly lower at 84.
Reyes, rated No. 7 by The Ring at flyweight, won the Argentine national title in his eighth fight and proceeded to pick up a number of regional titles the following few years. He went to Mexico and was held to a draw by former world title challenger Cristian Gonzalez (D 10) in 2023.
The 28-year-old puncher then won three fights inside the distance before venturing to Nicaragua, where he narrowly failed to beat Felix Alvarado (SD 12) in an IBF eliminator in December 2024. He returned with a pair of wins last year.
Fajardo was held to a draw in his debut before losing to future world title challenger ArAr Andales (UD 4) in his third outing. He reeled off six wins before drawing with Ben Ligas (D 8) in July 2021.
The 26-year-old hit something of a purple patch, stopping touted Argentine fighter Agustin Gauto (TKO 2) and then notched three consecutive first round knockouts, notably with the third one coming against countryman John Paul Gabunilas.
However, that was followed by back-to-back 12-round decision loses to future IBF 108-pound ruler Thanongsak Simsri and then in Tanzania against Mchanja Yohana in 2024. He has since rediscovered his form with two wins.
