Tony Harrison will attempt to end his 2025 the right way.

The former WBC junior middleweight champion will officially return to the ring on December 20th at Detroit's Fox Theater when facing Argentina's Brian Damian Chaves.

For the 35-year-old, activity is something he's desperately asked for. Before this year, he'd only fought four times since 2019.

Following his lopsided ninth-round stoppage loss to Tim Tszyu in 2023, Harrison took some time away to re-evaluate his future. Ultimately, he decided to continue but squeezing his body down to the 154-pound limit no longer made sense. As well as announcing his middleweight move, he would later share that he'd signed with Salita Promotions.

So far, their partnership has worked well. Harrison (30-4-1, 21 KOs) returned to the ring on July 26 against Edward Ulloa Diaz. Outside of a shaky ninth round where he was dropped, Harrison schooled the longtime journeyman on his way to winning a 10-round decision.

In Chaves (15-7, 6 KOs), Team Harrison has seemingly found him another soft touch. The 6-foot southpaw has lost six of his last seven and to make matters worse, he was stopped in each of those half-dozen no later than round six.
