Hall of Fame fighter turned commentator Timothy Bradley Jr. isn’t ready to dish out sweet superlatives when discussing Oleksandr Usyk’s recent run as the king of the heavyweight division.

The Ring Magazine, WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Usyk beat Tyson Fury twice this year, and the feats came after knocking out Daniel Dubois last year and beating Anthony Joshua twice as well, once in 2021 and the other in 2022.

Before making a mark in the sport’s glamor division, Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) was also an undisputed cruiserweight champion as well as a 2012 Olympics gold medalist.

“All this all-time great shit that’s going on – all-time great, are you kidding me?” said Bradley. “Man, look – recency bias. Just because he beat the two best heavyweights of this era doesn’t make him an all-time great. Usyk, he is not an all-time great. Y’all need to stop with that. He’s literally had seven fights [at heavyweight]. I understand that he has accolades. He cleaned out the division at cruiserweight. I get that. Now, he is a heavyweight. I wouldn’t say he cleaned out, but he beat the two best guys in the division and now you are saying he's an all-time great after 23 fights? C'mon man. Wow. Y'all need to stop it. He's a legend in his own right, but all-time great? Y'all trippin.”

Usyk was the Ring Magazine fighter of the year award winner in 2018 and is a surefire bet to win the honors again this year.
