Queensberry Promotions' plans to do business in the U.S. will include a blue-chip amateur set to join the pro ranks.

Yandiel Lozano has joined the growing roster of Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren, as announced by his company on Friday. The move comes two months after Puerto Rico's Lozano claimed a Silver medal at the 2024 IBA World Youth Amateur championships in Budva, Montenegro.

The 17-year-old Boricua—affectionately known as 'Chino'—called it a wrap in the non-paid ranks after the tournament. He ended his amateur career with a stellar 119-9 record and four consecutive national titles—Junior championship honors in 2021 and 2022, followed by the top prize at the Youth level in 2023 and 2024.

“I am hugely excited to bring yet another exceptional young fighter to Queensberry,” said Warren, in his latest move as his company makes plans for global expansion. “With our DAZN broadcast partnership fast approaching, we stated our intention to widen our talent pool beyond the UK and return to promoting in overseas territories.

"Yandiel will play a big part in our new horizon when he enters the professional ranks with us."

The Ring has confirmed that Lozano will be prominently featured on Queensberry-promoted shows in—but by no means limited to—the U.S. market. Neither a date nor location were confirmed for Lozano's forthcoming pro debut, though he will compete as a lightweight.

Lozano is also represented by legendary boxing manager Shelly Finkel, a long time friend and business associate of Warren's.

“We have always enjoyed a strong friendship and long-standing working relationship with his manager Shelly Finkel," noted Warren. "I am extremely happy to be working with him to develop the career of Yandiel.”
