Cuba's Yoenli Hernandez, The Ring's No. 4-ranked middleweight, will try to continue his rise in the 160-pound division in Hollywood, Florida.
Middleweight contender Yoenli Hernandez has a return date set for October 12 against Carlos Mohamed Rodriguez in a 10-round main event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, it was announced Tuesday.
Hernandez (8-0, 7 KOs), aka “Yoyo El Diablo,” is The Ring’s No. 4 fighter at 160 pounds. He was recently in camp with Canelo Alvarez, helping the Mexican star with high-level sparring ahead of his eventual defeat to Terence Crawford on September 13.
Hernandez, a 28-year-old power puncher from Camaguey, Cuba, looked sensational in his most recent outing, a one-sided, 10-round unanimous decision against Kyrone Davis on May 31 in Las Vegas. The brutal beating featured Hernandez outlanding Davis 217-40.
Rodriguez (16-14-1, 7 KOs) ended a four-fight losing streak last time out in October 2024 by knocking out the previously unbeaten Mason Dickinson.
In the co-main event, Armando Martinez Rabi (16-0, 15 KOs) takes on Willmank Canonico Brito (13-8-2, 11 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout.
