Valle has put together a three-fight winning streak since dropping a competitive unanimous decision last year against Seniesa Estrada for the undisputed strawweight championship.
Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions continues adding to its roster of female fighters.
The company announced Tuesday the signing of WBC minimumweight champion Yokasta Valle (33-3, 10 KOs), a free agent three-division champion formerly tied to Golden Boy.
“This signing is not just a step for me, it’s a step forward for all of Latin American women’s boxing, proving that our stories, our talent, and our passion deserve to be on the biggest stages,” said Valle. “I’ve walked a path full of sacrifices, tough training, and battles inside and outside the ring. Every punch, every victory, and every setback has prepared me for this moment.”
Valle, 32, last fought in March and scored a decision win against Marlen Esparza in a non-title flyweight bout. At the time, it appeared that Golden Boy was positioning Valle as a future challenger for undisputed flyweight champion Gabriela Fundora. However, Valle later announced that she’d be moving back down to 105 pounds.
Valle was supposed to headline a homecoming fight against Rocio Gaspar on July 18 at Cámara de Ganaderos de Liberia in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, but the announced event under her own banner, Yoka Sport & Boxing Promotions, never came to fruition.
Valle has put together a three-fight winning streak since dropping a competitive unanimous decision last year against Seniesa Estrada for the undisputed strawweight championship.
“Yokasta Valle is a trailblazer and one of the most accomplished and respected champions in boxing, and she’s just getting started,” Paul and MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian said in a shared statement. “She has created a generational impact and inspired young girls across Central America. Now at MVP, her story will continue to transcend geographical barriers and resonate with fans around the world.”
Valle joins her sister, Naomy Valle (14-0, 9 KOs), in an MVP stable that already features elite female talent Amanda Serrano, Alycia Baumgardner, Shadasia Green, Holly Holm, Cherneka Johnson, Dina Thorslund, Savannah Marshall, Chantelle Cameron, Ellie Scotney, Shurretta Metcalf, Jennifer Miranda, Tamm Thibeault, Elizabeth Oshoba and Ramla Ali.
“MVP has shown they believe in women and in our ability to fill arenas and break barriers, and I’m here to leave my heart in every fight,” said Valle.
