Nick Ball and Brandon Figueroa made the 126-pound limit on Friday ahead of this weekend’s featherweight title fight.
Ball (23-0-1, 13 KOs), the reigning WBA champion, tipped the scales at 125.11 pounds whilst two-weight world titleholder Figueroa (26-2-1, 19 KOs) weighed in at 125.14.
The potentially explosive contest takes place at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Saturday night.
Liverpool’s Ball, 28, will be making the fourth defense of his belt but hasn’t boxed since he outpointed previously then-undefeated Australian Sam Goodman in August.
He will be giving up six inches in height to the 29-year-old Texan who earned his shot by scoring a unanimous decision over Joet Gonzalez in July.
The fight is a clash between two of The Ring’s top 10 featherweights. Ball is ranked at No. 3 whilst Figueroa sits four spots behind him.
Andrew Cain (14-1, 12 KOs) and Alejandro Gonzalez (19-6-3, 11 KOs) successfully made weight ahead of their WBC bantamweight title final eliminator. The Liverpudlian came in just under the limit at 117.15 pounds whilst Mexico City’s Gonzalez scaled 117.7 pounds.
Coverage begins on DAZN at 7 p.m. GMT (2 p.m. ET).
The other official weights for the televised portion of the Queensberry show:
Super Flyweight, 10 rounds
Jack Turner (13-0, 12 KOs), 114.1 pounds, Liverpool, England
Juan Carlos Martinez Urbina (10-3-1, 4 KOs), 114.12, Nicaragua
