The 10-round junior middleweight bout will take place at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. Former featherweight titleholder Luis Alberto Lopez will face Daniel Lugo in the co-main event.

ProBox announced the card on Tuesday.

Baraou (17-2, 9 KOs) will fight for the first time since losing a WBA and WBO 154-pound unification bout against Xander Zayas by split decision on January 31 in Puerto Rico. The 31-year-old German won the interim WBA 154-pound title in August of last year, when he defeated previously unbeaten Yoenis Tellez by unanimous decision.

He was later elevated to full champion after Terence Crawford moved up to super middleweight to face Canelo Alvarez last September. Baraou, The Ring’s No. 9-ranked junior middleweight contender, is ranked No. 4 by the WBA, No. 6 by the WBO and No. 12 by the WBC at 154 pounds.

Santillan (35-1, 18 KOs) has notched three consecutive wins since suffering his lone defeat, a 10th-round knockout against The Ring’s No. 2-ranked welterweight, Brian Norman Jr., in May 2024. The 34-year-old from San Diego had his last fight on the same card as Zayas vs. Baraou, winning a unanimous decision against Courtney Pennington.

Santillan is ranked No. 8 by the WBO at welterweight and No. 12 by the IBF at 154 pounds.
