Ajagba (21-1-1, 15 KOs), rated No. 8 contender by The Ring in the heavyweight division, is coming off a fourth-round stoppage win against Charles Martin during his Zuffa Boxing debut in February.

The 32-year-old Nigerian is expressing his desire for a fight against any of the top names in the division after Ring champion Oleksandr Usyk vacated his IBF, WBA and WBC titles in June. The move allowed for a fresh crop of contenders such as Ajagba to fight for those crowns.

"I'm ready for anybody in the top 10," Ajagba told The Ring's Louis Hart.

Ajagba, a 2016 Olympian, named several desirable dance partners, two of which included rematches. One is Martin Bakole following a majority draw in 2025 and the other is Frank Sanchez who beat him by unanimous decision in 2021.

Other opponents Ajagba has an eye on include WBO champion Daniel Dubois, Moses Itauma, who fights Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF title on Saturday, and Jarrell Miller, who's next in line to face Murat Gassiev for the WBA title.

And then Ajagba offered a contingency plan, desiring to serve as a replacement opponent if the bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua falls apart.

Fury and Joshua appear to be at a stalemate in finalizing their fight expected to take place in the United Kingdom or the United States. Fury even cast a cloud of doubt on the clash last week, saying that the "money thirsty" Joshua doesn't seem inclined to take the fight.

"If the fight is not available for both of them, I'm available and interested. I'm here to fight one of them," Ajagba said. "I'm here now. I'm available, and my name is out there. I'm not a ghost.

"Like Fury says, it looks like AJ doesn't want to fight. If Fury wants to fight someone available, I'm here now. Fury has to give me the opportunity to fight him. It would be a big fight. Let's make the fight happen. I want to fight Joshua, too, in Nigeria. It would be a crazy fight between two Nigerian fighters.”

For now, "The Silent Roller" will have to be in a holding pattern until Fury-Joshua officially gets across the finish line, or falls apart, to figure out his next move.
