Former undisputed 130-pound champion Baumgardner (18-1, 7 KOs, 1 NC) and Turhan (14-0, 8 KOs) will headline an MVP show at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. The action will air on ESPN and ESPN Deportes in the US from 8:30 p.m. ET and Sky Sports in the UK from 12:30 a.m. GMT.

Becoming a multiple-weight world champion won't come easy for Baumgardner, who'll face an unorthodox, battle-tested brawler in Turhan over 10, three-minute rounds.

"As a world champion, this is how we set the stage for women's boxing, and boxing as a whole," Baumgardner said on Inside The Ring. "This is nothing new. This is another testament to what I've been talking about in the type of fighter that I'm going to become on November 8.

"Turhan's style is very common, I would say, among women in boxing. So I know what I have to do as a fighter. I have to make sure that I'm sharp and have composure. I know that I'm really good with my timing. We've seen that she does get hit a lot, and we know that I pack a punch. So it's going to be a matter of staying composed, punching in between her shots and using my skills. This is boxing. This is not a fight. This is skills versus whatever she's got going on."

Turhan, a 31-year-old Turk, scored the IBF title in December by blasting Beatriz Ferreira inside of five rounds. She defended the belt in January with a split decision victory against Taylah Gentzen before winning by unanimous decision win against Gabriela Tellez last time out in June.

The 32-year-old Michigan native Baumgardner, ranked No. 10 on The Ring's pound-for-pound list, hasn't scored a knockout ever since stopping then-undefeated Terri Harper eight fights ago in a breakout 2021 win to begin her 130-pound reign. Baumgardner last fought in April and bagged a unanimous decision win against Bo Mi Re Shin at New York's Madison Square Garden Theater.

"I didn't come into this game as a knockout artist," Baumgardner said. "I came into this game as a fighter who has many styles, so you've been able to see that. Do I have power? Absolutely. I would say every fight I knock down my opponent. So the power is there. It's just a matter of being better on my timing, and I've been working on that.

"I would say Turhan would be the biggest puncher I ever faced. But again, that just looks like it. I have to feel that s—t to really know what it's really like. It looks hard, but we are going to see."

Baumgardner is a -550 betting favorite to beat Turhan, according to DraftKings. "The Bomb" has big plans to face Ring, WBC, WBO lightweight champion Caroline Dubois (14-0-1, 5 KOs), who's ranked No. 9 P4P, if she gets past Turhan.

"I know that I'm fighting the winner of Dubois and [WBA titleholder] Stephanie Han for undisputed. That's how I want it. That's what it's going to be. So once Turhan is beaten, we have to see who's next," Baumgardner said.

"I don't duck any smoke. I know that boxing is a business. So, I always make sure that things are aligning when it comes to the business part, and I'm always going to show up to fight.

"I'm already the face of women's boxing – I've been that. I'm making exciting fights. I'm moving up. I'm challenging a world champion. We're fighting on ESPN. It's elevating, and I'm happy that I can be a trailblazer for women's sports and set a standard. I'm also fighting three-minute rounds. Not a lot of women can say they're doing that. And again, it's not for every woman, but it is for me, and I'm showcasing that I can put on great performances."
