After years of fighting one division apart, Baumgardner, who holds The Ring, IBF, WBA, and WBO junior lightweight titles, is moving up in weight to take on IBF lightweight champion Elif Nur Turhan on November 8 at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

If Dubois gets past Amelia Moore on Saturday at bp pulse LIVE Arena in Birmingham, England, and Baumgardner beats Turhan, a Dubois vs. Baumgardner matchup becomes realistic.

Turhan (14-0, 8 KOs) is a powerful puncher, but Dubois, who has long covered a meeting with Baumgardner, believes her rival has the skill set to neutralize whatever the Turk brings.

“I think the fight is a very dangerous fight [for Baumgardner], but it’s also a very simple fight,” Dubois told The Ring. “I think how you beat Turhan is kind of easy. You box, you stay smart, you stay disciplined, outbox her, out-jab her, out-think her.

“She fights wildly and recklessly. You punch in the middle of that and get out of the way. I believe that Alycia has the skills to do that.”

Of course, Dubois (13-0-1, 5 KOs) is thinking bigger than just a showdown with Baumgardner (18-1, 7 KOs). The 25-year-old Londoner, who wears the WBC and WBO belts, dreams of becoming undisputed champion. Stephanie Han holds the fourth 135-pound title (WBA).

“Everything that I’ve wanted is now only a few fights away,” Dubois said. “All I have to do is continue to win, and it’s gonna happen. I will become undisputed. I shook hands with Han after her win [against Holly Holm] and we agreed to a fight. I’m expecting her to uphold her end of the bargain. I’ll fight Han and beat Han.

“And it would be nice if Alycia wins, but it doesn’t really matter. I fight the winner, and I become undisputed.”

Dubois and Moore are fighting on the card headlined by Mikaela Mayer vs. Chantelle Cameron for the unified junior middleweight championship.

The MVPW-07 show will air on ESPN+ in the U.S. and Sky Sports in the UK. The main card begins at 2 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. BST.
