The "Butterfly Brawl" returns for a bash at the beach on Saturday at the iconic Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles.
Twin brothers/prospects Nikolai and Sebastian Terteryan, as well as DeAngelo Evans, Steven Navarro, Ebenezer Griffith, and Tommy Hyde, are set to be showcased in the charity event, which raises funds for Teen Cancer America and honors the life of Yassy Hosseini.
Hosseini, who passed away from breast cancer in 2016 at the age of 39, was the cousin of Mark Habibi, the founder of Wise Owl Boxing and Fightbook. Habibi has been hosting the Butterfly Brawl since 2017 in honor of Hosseini. Last year's edition also took place at the Santa Monica Pier.
"The Butterfly Brawl has evolved into something that combines two things very close to my heart – boxing and giving back," Habibi told The Ring. "What began as a way to honor my cousin Yassy has grown into a platform where we can showcase great fighters, entertain people and, most importantly, use the sport of boxing to make a real difference in the lives of those battling cancer."
The Butterfly Brawl is promoted by Steve Bash of Bash Boxing. Terence Crawford will be among the luminaries in attendance.
The production will also pack some star power, as former titleholders Shawn Porter and Paulie Malignaggi are set to call the action from ringside. Mixmaster Mike of the Beastie Boys will be mixing music throughout the night as well.
The Butterfly Brawl can be streamed via pay-per-view on WatchBashTV.com for $29.99. Tickets can be purchased here.
