Three title fights are on the docket for a stacked Saturday night.

The action kicks off with the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois for the undisputed heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom on DAZN PPV. Usyk won the first fight by ninth-round stoppage on Aug. 26, 2023. Since that loss, Usyk has defeated Tyson Fury twice, with the first victory making him the undisputed heavyweight champion. Dubois has won three straight since his loss to Usyk, including a fifth-round knockout of Anthony Joshua on Sept. 21.

Later in the night, Hall of Famer and former eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao returns after a nearly four-year layoff to face WBC welterweight champion Marios Barrios at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Prime PPV. Pacquiao’s last fight came on Aug. 21, 2021, when he lost a unanimous decision to Yordenis Ugas. Barrios will be in his second title defense, as his first fight as the champion was a draw against Abel Ramos on Nov. 15.

The third title fight will feature WBC and Ring junior bantamweight champion Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez against WBO champion Phumelela Cafu in a unification bout between unbeaten champions at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on DAZN.

Here are some of the key stats from CompuBox for the three headlining title fights today:

Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) completely stifled Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) in their first fight, holding him to just 47 of 290 punches landed (16.2 percent). Usyk picked up the pace after the low blow in the fifth round, connecting with 45 of 176 shots from the sixth round on.

Including the loss to Usyk, Dubois, 27, has averaged 14.3 punches landed on 44.4 punches thrown per round (32.2 percent), including 9.1 of 21.4 power punches (42.5 percent) in his last nine fights. The IBF heavyweight titleholder is coming off the best performance of his career, a fifth-round knockout of Joshua. Dubois connected with 79 of 196 punches (40.3 percent), including landing 49 of 96 power shots (51 percent).

Usyk’s numbers don’t exactly jump off the paper, as he averages 13.7 punches landed on 44.9 punches thrown per round. Similar to Dubois, he’s efficient with his power, connecting with 8.7 of 20.5 of his power shots per round (42.4 percent).

Where Usyk, 38, often separates himself is in the later rounds. He averages 23 of 68 punches landed (33.8 percent) per round across the 11th and 12th rounds, including 16 of 36 power shots (44.4 percent). Usyk outlanded Fury 47-26 in Rounds 10-12 in the first fight, and 58-45 in the second fight.

Against Joshua, Usyk outlanded him 79-29 in the final three rounds of their second fight and 54-33 in Rounds 10-12 in their first fight.

Even as Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) aged, he was still able to maintain his work rate. Where there was a significant change was with his accuracy and the type of punches he threw.

In his 17 fights before facing Adrien Broner, Keith Thurman and Ugas, the 46-year-old southpaw averaged 19.2 punches landed on 57.6 punches per round (33.3 percent). In his last three, he averaged 12.1 punches landed on 57.5 punches thrown (21 percent).

Pacquiao was much more active with his jab in his last three fights. He averaged 33.1 jabs thrown per round vs. Broner, Thurman and Ugas compared to 23.6 in his 17 fights before then. As a result, he saw a significant dip in power punches thrown per round, as he averaged 7.9 landed and 24.4 thrown per round (32.4 percent) in his last three outings compared to 34 thrown and 15.3 landed per round (45 percent).

Barrios (29-2-1, 18 KOs) has averaged 16.97 punches landed of 56.81 thrown per round in his last three fights, which include a unanimous decision over Ugas. Among those punches landed, the jab was by far Barrios’ best weapon, as he averaged 10.11 jabs landed on 37.03 thrown per round. While Barrios, 30, doesn’t throw as many power punches, he’s been efficient in his last three fights, landing at a 34.7 connect percentage.

No fighter makes their punches count more than Bam.

Rodriguez (21-0, 14 KOs) is first among championship-level fighters in jab connect percentage (39.5 percent), power punches connect percentage (28.2 percent) and total connect percentage (48.9 percent). He’s also second in plus-minus, only trailing WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson. Rodriguez, 25, averages 23.3 punches landed and 59 punches thrown per round, and 15.8 power punches landed on 32.3 thrown per round.

Cafu (11-0-3, 8 KOs) is slightly more active, but nowhere near as accurate. He averages 13.6 punches landed on 65.5 punches thrown per round. He also invests in the body heavily, as of his punches landed, 36.9 percent are to the midsection.

Cafu, 26, averages 10.1 power punches landed on 33.5 power punches thrown per round.
