Barely two months after joining Most Valuable Promotions, WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois has made her stateside debut and is now gearing up for a long-awaited unification against Terri Harper on Easter Sunday.
Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) wowed many with her showing in Miami on the Jake Paul-Anthony Joshua undercard, dropping and outclassing Italy's Camila Panatta in what proved a welcome return to the public eye.
The 25-year-old and Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs) have verbally jabbed for over a year about meeting in a title unification and now, the stars have aligned for them to headline MVP's first London show on April 5.
In a press release, Dubois doubled down on why this is the first step to achieving even bigger aspirations.
"I'm excited to make this fight, a massive fight in my career and for British boxing, both a legacy fight and unification. The goal is to become undisputed world champion, this is the first step."
Harper, who soundly outpointed Natalie Zimmermann on a GBM Sports show in Doncaster last May, acknowledged this fight announcement was a long time coming. They originally hoped it would feature as part of BOXXER's all-women's card on March 7, but Dubois endured a tough defense against Bo Mi Re Shin instead.
"I'm grateful to MVP for getting it over the line and am excited to be headlining MVP's first UK show," the 29-year-old said.
In what is being billed as a historic double main event at London's Olympia, Ring and unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney (11-0) will face WBA beltholder Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in an attempt to become the youngest UK boxer in the four-belt era to become undisputed world champion - male or female.
Scotney-Flores was originally scheduled for the later-cancelled card topped by Jake Paul-Gervonta Davis on Nov. 14, before the skilled Catford champion withdrew through injury a month prior. Now fully recovered and in training camp, she'll hope to help create double delight for head trainer Shane McGuigan, who also coaches Dubois.

"I'm beyond grateful to MVP for delivering once again - now it's my turn. Destiny awaits, time to make history in my hometown in front of my very own," Scotney said.
Mexico's Flores meanwhile is already relishing her role as road warrior.
"When I heard the fight was moved to the UK, I agreed without hesitation. We Mexicans show up ready to fight anywhere, mentally and physically ready for war. Ellie Scotney is a great and tough fighter, but I am up for the challenge. A win will put me in the history books as Mexico's first undisputed female boxer in history."
Elsewhere, former undisputed 140-pound champion Chantelle Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs) returns in a new weight class for the belt recently vacated by unified welterweight titleholder Mikaela Mayer when facing no. 4-rated WBO contender Michaela Kotaskova (11-0-2, 4 KOs) at junior middleweight and promised to show her very best.
Czech-born Austrian contender Kotaskova is ranked highly across welterweight and junior middleweight, insisting she should not be underestimated despite entering this bout with a flimsy pro resume as well as little fanfare.
Cameron - who won and defended the WBC interim 140-pound title - has switched trainers three times in quick succession, first to Grant Smith in Sheffield, then Liverpool-based Stephen Smith. Ultimately, those experiences led back to a reunion with longtime tandem Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis last month.

IBF junior bantamweight champion Irma Garcia (25-5-1, 5 KOs) is another Mexican beltholder traveling to the UK's capital when making a title defense against mandatory challenger Emma Dolan (8-0, 1 KO).
"I'm looking forward to this, it's felt a long time coming but nearly here now. I can't wait to show everyone what Carl [Greaves, her coach] and I have been working on behind closed doors, bring that title back home," Dolan said as she looks to become Britain's first 115-pound champion.
