Tickets to the long-awaited heavyweight showdown between former champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will go on sale Friday at 12 p.m. BST in the United Kingdom.
Visit ticketmaster.co.uk to secure admission to their 12-round fight December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The starting price point for tickets is £75 ($99).
Fury, 38, and Joshua, who will turn 37 on October 15, will fight for the vacant WBA “super” title in a main event Netflix will stream worldwide. DraftKings lists Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs), a native of Manchester, as a 2-1 favorite to defeat Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs), a Watford native who won an Olympic gold medal in 2012.
After almost two months of intense negotiations regarding the site of this historic bout billed as the biggest in British boxing history, it was officially announced at a press conference September 30 in London. It will take place early on a Saturday morning in Wales (a Friday night in the United States).
Fury, ranked No. 3 among The Ring’s contenders for Oleksandr Usyk’s title, hopes a victory over Joshua leads to a third shot at the Ukrainian southpaw’s crown in 2027. Joshua is not rated in The Ring’s top 10, in part because he was knocked down twice during the first round of his second-round knockout of huge underdog Kristian Prenga (20-2, 20 KOs) on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
