Tyson Fury has announced that Turki Alalshikh will be his promoter for the rest of his career.
The two-time heavyweight champion of the world, a veteran of four Riyadh Season events, took to Instagram to reveal the news when he uploaded a picture of the pair with the caption "@Turki the promoter of the GK [Gypsy King] till I retire."
Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) is currently in America on a trip which included an appearance at UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on Sunday, during which he wore a hat stating "Donald Trump for Prime Minister".
The 37-year-old, nicknamed "The Gypsy King", is reportedly close to announcing a fight this summer with the long-awaited Anthony Joshua showdown already agreed for Q4 this year.
During the broadcast of the UFC show, Fury was asked whether an announcement was imminent. He said: "I think I'm going to let Dana [White] do the speaking. I'll let him do the speaking but it's a massive, massive, massive announcement."
Dana White, UFC president and CEO, co-founded Zuffa Boxing in 2025 alongside Alalshikh to create a new boxing league. Ring cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia and British welterweight Conor Benn are among their high-profile signings to date.
Now the 37-year-old has confirmed that he will take his next steps alongside Alalshikh, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Fund (GEA).
Fury has been promoted by Frank Warren for many years and it is unclear what this latest development means for their working relationship.
Fury's last outing took place in April 11, when he ended his most recent retirement from the ring by outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov on The Ring card at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In the immediate aftermath of the fight, he addressed Joshua, who was seated at ringside, and the pair have since signed contracts for a Battle of Britain.
First Joshua must beat Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 25 in his own "warm-up fight" while Fury must also come through his summer outing unscathed.
